I am Oluwafunmilola Olukanni, a passionate and strategic Product Designer with over 8 years of hands-on experience in creating intuitive, engaging, and impactful digital products. With a strong foundation in Computer Science and a specialty in Human-Computer Interaction, I blend design thinking with technical expertise to craft user-centric solutions that align with both business goals and user needs.
Currently at Coronation Merchant Bank, I lead end-to-end design processes from user research and wireframing to prototyping and development, driving digital transformation initiatives and enhancing the usability of complex systems. My toolkit includes Figma, Framer, Adobe XD, SharePoint, and WordPress, allowing me to deliver high-fidelity, accessible, and responsive interfaces.
I also stay ahead of industry trends through certifications, workshops and masterclasses focused on UX storytelling, AI integration, and fintech UX strategy.
I am a high-achieving Master of Science and Bachelor of Computer Science graduate from Babcock University.
My UX/UI design journey began in 2013, after my university graduation. While waiting for my NYSC posting, I decided to join a web design and development bootcamp. It was there that I discovered my passion for designing, even more than for development. I received special recognition from my trainers for my creativity and the quality of my work. That's when I realized this was an art, and I decided to pursue it.
Throughout my career, I have taken on various roles, collaborating with independent developers and other IT professionals. Together, we provided full-service capabilities that created thoughtful, user-centric solutions for our stakeholders, staff, and clients.
